Hello Bookworms, and welcome to another post from The Paperback Princess! I hope you all had a great week! I am finally getting the hang of my English Comp 1 class, so yay! Definitely happy about that. Anyways, today I am doing a review on the book “You Will Be Mine” by Natasha Preston so let’s get right into it!

Genre: Mystery, Thriller, YA
Number of Pages: 281
My Rating: 5/10
ROSES ARE RED
VIOLETS ARE BLUE
WATCH YOUR BACK
I’M COMING FOR YOU
This is from the same author as the last two books, the one who writes like a teenager. You think that would have made me stay away from her books, but unfortunately I found this one and it sounded too good to pass up. Of course, the writing sucked. I really did enjoy the plot, but the characters were unforgettable and completely immature for college aged kids. The ending was a surprise to me and the reason for the killings (and the killer) was so far fetched I couldn’t believe it. This is definitely going to be my last book read by her. I really tried, but it always a miss for me when it comes to Preston’s books.
Here is the synopsis from Goodreads: Lylah and her friends can’t wait to spend a night out together. Partying is the perfect way to let loose from the stress of life and school, and Lylah hopes that hitting the dance floor with Chace, her best friend, will bring them closer together. She’s been crushing on him since they met. If only he thought of her the same way…
The girls are touching up their makeup and the guys are sliding on their coats when the doorbell rings. No one is there. An envelope sits on the doormat. It’s an anonymous note addressed to their friend Sonny. A secret admirer? Maybe. They all laugh it off.
Except Sonny never comes home. And a new note arrives:
YOUR TURN

And that’s it for this post! Next week I will finally be showing off some of my own writing, so get excited! Join me next time! Until then, Happy Reading Bookworms!
