Unread Books Tag

Hi Bookworms, and welcome to another post from The Paperback Princess! I hope you all had a wonderful week and weekend. It was my first week of school, so I was pretty busy trying to get stuff done and turned in. Today I am going to be doing something a little different than I have in my previous posts: the Unread Books Tag. I came across this particular tag when I was looking around for post ideas for this blog. So let’s get right into it!! 🙂

(Before I start this, I just wanted to give a heads up that my book collection is not very big right now. I lost most of my books in moves throughout the years, and I am just now trying to re-collect books. I just mention this because my numbers of unread and read books may not be as big as others lol.)

1. How many unread and read books do you have?

I have 16 unread books and 45 read books. I honestly didn’t think I had that many read books, but a lot of them are Sarah Dessen and other writers that I’m trying to re-collect.

2. The book that has sat on your shelf the longest?

I would definitely say ‘Why We Broke Up’ by Daniel Handler. Like I said in a previous post, I’ve tried so many times to read this book, and it just hasn’t gotten very far. I’ll have to buckle down one day and just read it I think.

3. Number one on your TBR that you want to read but haven’t gotten around to yet?

‘Second Chance at Us’ by Stacy Travis. I’ve only had it for maybe a month or so, but I am really excited to read it. It sounds good from the synopsis on the back. The only thing keeping me from reading it is that I am trying to get through all of Judy Corry’s books first before I start any other books.

4. A book you want to read more than anything but you don’t own yet?

‘Tell Me Three Things’ by Julie Buxbaum. This book has been on my Amazon wish list for about 2 years now. Every time I go to buy a book from my list, I always forget about this one way down below on the list. But the book sounds so good and I really really want to read it. Maybe I should make myself a reminder for the next time I go to buy books!

5. A book you don’t remember buying but haven’t read yet?

‘Splintered’ by A.G. Howard. I honestly have no idea where this book even came from lol. I am thinking my sister may have gotten it for me at some point? I honestly don’t know. It sounds really good though! Maybe I should add it farther up my TBR pile.

6. A book you don’t think you’ll get around to reading, but haven’t gotten rid of it yet?

‘Collected Whispers’. This is more of a poetry compilation, from the International Library of Poetry. The only reason I have it is because one of my aunts got a poem published in it and it made it on the very first page. I doubt I’ll ever actually read more of the poems, but I haven’t gotten rid of it because it’s inspirational to see a family member have something published.

7. A book you feel guilty for not reading yet?

The rest of a series I’ve been trying to read from Megan McCafferty. It such a cute YA series with only 5 books, but I only seem to get to book 3 before I start reading something else. I would really love to finally finish the series though. It’s literally been like 5 years or more in the making lol.

8. A book series you’ve heard about non-stop but have no interest in reading?

The Twilight series. Honestly I’ve seen all the movies except for the last one, but I am just not a huge fan of fantasy reading or vampires and stuff like that. I know a lot of people who have told me to read it though. Nah.

And that is it for this tag!! Thank you so much for joining me today. I really had a fun time going through all my books and answering the questions! I hope you all got to know me and my books a little better. Next time I am going to stick with the tag theme and will be doing the Book Cake Tag. Join me then!!!
